For further promoting the construction of curriculum of accounting, and constantly improve the teaching quality, accounting curriculum group construction seminar was held in room 520 at 15:00 p.m. on April 9, 2015. The seminar was host by Professor Yuan Jianguo, and all the faculty members of accounting and student representatives attended the meeting.
The theme of the seminar is to check the situation of teaching and discuss the construction and development plan of the curriculum group. Professor Yuan Jianguo first summarizes the achievements in terms of curriculum construction in recent years, including: “Accounting principle” course named Hubei Provincial Excellent Course; Wrote and published 12 “Excellent Textbook Series for Undergraduate Students in Accounting Major in the 21st century”; Edited and published the National 11th Five-year planning Textbook “Financial Management (4th edition)” and won the second prize of Excellent Textbook of Chinese University Press; Edited the “Financial Management” (fifth edition) included in the national vocational education textbook in the 12th Five-year Plan; Hosted 1 Hubei Province teaching research projects, and 1 HUST teaching research project; Be awarded first prize of teaching quality in the University for 1 time and second prize for 4 times; Introduced 4 professional backbone faculty, and 5 persons/times studied or visited abroad; implemented; internationalization plus professional talent training mode, started 5 ACCA class and CPA class respectively, etc.
At the same time, he also pointed out that there are several problems, such as the strength and speed of construction are inadequate, and put forward the target of constructing national level excellent lessons, teaching group and experiment bases. The participants also pointed out the problem existed in curriculum construction. Faculty members Liu Qiliang, Guo Wei, Yang Qingxiang, Zhan Meisong, Yue Aizhen, Zhu Yan, Chen Min, Zhang Peng and part of students made a hot discussion about accounting principle curriculum group construction, etc. A decision was made in the meeting to carry out five types of construction work.
Finally, the meeting also identified the time and content of the next seminar.
